when young graham first asked me to do this podcast i was excited, but without focus. ever the last minute man, i was frantically pulling songs from my itunes minutes before i had to leave for my date at black diamond. on the ride over to mount washington i checked out the jams i had just compiled and realized that this seemingly random hodgepodge of music actually sorta jived with the frame of mind i’ve been in recently.

see, i’ve got this job i love but it doesn’t pay very much. also, i don’t get any paid vacation days until after i’ve been there for one full year. the thing that kinda sucks about all this is that i’ve really been wanting to travel lately. no money + no vacation time = no trips for me. it struck me, however, that the artists in this here podcast sorta reflect the various places my mind has been wandering to lately. a sleazy dance club in copenhagen, a hippie commune in big sur, the streets of tokyo, the beaches of brazil, the midwest, soho, glasgow, stockholm…you get the drift.

either way, the assortment of tunes here is completely all over the place, but i hope you enjoy traveling vicariously through them as much as i do. i guess it’s kinda like a road trip but for your soul or your mind or something. whatever. just dig it.
