I loved that he cleaned up after himself before leaving an ice cream shop in Wapello, Iowa. He didn’t have to. The event was over and the press had left.   • Obama also had ice cream at Eugene’s famous “Prince Pucklers,” and when I visited a few days later they had Obama’s favorite icecream clearly labeled.
    Apparently he ordered mint chip, and I was all like “change, my ass!” But then I ordered mint chip. Jesus what I am going to do with this strange and overwhelming sense of nationalism? I can’t sleep!

  • That’s my town! Sorry, I had to. He left a really good impression on my town and Iowa in general. I’m not surprised he captured so much of the vote.
